Dates for the 2013 Draper Hills Summer Fellows Program

The dates for the 2013 Draper Hills Summer Fellows Program are Sunday, July 21-Friday, August 9, 2013. Applicants are required to participate in the entire duration of the fellowship program. They must be sure that they can be absent from their professional obligations during that time. Due to limited financial resources available, the program is unable to provide funding for families to accompany fellows to Stanford for the program.

To Apply to the Program:

We thank you for your interest in applying to the 2013 Draper Hills Summer Fellows Program at Stanford University's Center on Democracy, Development, and the Rule of Law. Due to the high-volume of applications to the program in 2011, we are requiring all applicants to submit a short intake questionnaire to ensure they meet all of the selection criteria and are viable candidates to the program. If applicants meet the necessary criteria in the pre-screening process they will be sent the longer application by email and be asked to submit a minimum of two letters of recommendations to support their application.

The intake questionnaire will be available online through November 23, 2012. The fellowship team will need at least 5 working days to review your pre-screen form from the time it is submitted and contact you with the next steps. As such, we strongly suggest that you submit the pre-screen form as soon as possible. The longer application, which includes a statement of purpose, will take some time to complete and you will be asked to contact two references to furnish letters of recommendation to support your candidacy to the program. A complete application package will be due no later than Friday, December 14, 2012

Application Resources:

We encourage all applicants to review the eligability and selection criteria, along with the application instructions in detail before submitting the intake questionnaire. The Information Booklet and Application Guidelines is a valuable resource and outlines all of in great detail. Please access and review this document before applying to the program.
